TD 7.0.2 OR TD 6.3 UPD 2 ?

Post by thomas.uttendorfer » 03 Jul 2017, 09:27

Hi TD 7 folks,
I'd like to read your opinion to the following situation:

Right now we use TD3.0 for production for a huge ERP/CRM-software-package.
We also managed to migrate to TD 6.3 - but we used it only on our internal test-system.

With our next release we want to migrate away from TD3.0 for productive.

Would you go to TD6.3 or would you prefer to migrate directly to TD 7.0.2?
Of course we would like to do TD 7 - but I read about performance issues etc.

Regards Thomas

Hi Thomas,

I don't notice significant performance issues but surely this depends on the application.

We want to bring our customers from 6.3 to 7.0.2 next month. Our QE didn't find any regressions (for the first time). In addition here in the "Bug Reports" I see very few regressions. On the other hand looking in the 7.0.2 fix list I see many fixed issues. There are some nice enhancements as well.

The most concerning issue for me is this:
