Accessing SQLBASE thru ODBC / OleDB problems

Post by Dobby » 15 May 2017, 08:24

Good morning folks,

we would like to acces as an SQLBase 12.02.11086 through ODBC or OLEDB.

We experience some problems:

ODBC: We cannot retrieve reasonable Data from LONGBIN and LONGVAR columns

OLEDB: We cannot retrieve reasonable Data from NVARCHAR columns

Is there anything we shoul know about?

Thanks and regards

Have tested both OLEDB with NVARCHAR columns and ODBC with LONGVAR from SQLServer --> SQLBase.

Assuming you are using SQLServer ? If so are you using a Linked Server ?

If so , this syntax seems to work ok:

Code: Select all

SELECT * FROM OPENQUERY( LinkedServerName , 'Select NVARCHAR_Column from TableOwner.Table')
What's your OLEDB driver version ? SQLBASEOLEDB.dll should be at least 12.0.1 dated 01.09.2016
Best wishes
